Pre-Flight Audio Check & Setup Guide

Before starting a mock interview or any permitted live assistance session, verify your microphone, speaker, and Bujji Copilot audio settings.

1 Step 1: Test your microphone and speaker

• Microsoft Teams desktop: Open Settings → Devices → Make a test call. Follow the prompts to record and play back a short message.
• Zoom: Open Settings → Audio → Test Speaker and Test Microphone. Confirm that you can hear the test sound and your recorded voice.

ℹ️ Note: Teams' built-in test call is currently available in the Windows and Mac desktop apps, not Teams on the web.
2 Step 2: Verify Bujji Copilot

• Start with Audio Assist: OFF to use the visual-only mode.
• Confirm that generated answers appear correctly on screen.
• Enable Audio Assist only when audio output is permitted and the selected output device is appropriate for your environment.
• Before using audio, verify that the output is routed correctly and cannot be unintentionally heard by other participants.

3 Step 3: Perform an end-to-end audio check

Use a mock meeting or a test session with another person. Verify that your voice is clear, Bujji's output does not unintentionally enter the meeting microphone, and no disruptive echo or audio dropouts occur.

4 Step 4: Switch to text mode if an issue occurs

If you notice echo, choppy audio, or unintended audio leakage, turn Audio Assist off and continue in visual-only mode. Confirm that playback has stopped before continuing.

⚠️ Important Real-World Notice

Audio performance depends on the device, operating system, meeting application, and room acoustics. A successful device test does not guarantee that every live meeting will be free from echo or audio leakage.
